Hyderabad: A cutting-edge garment manufacturing facility, "Punctuate World Private Limited," was officially launched at Peddur Apparel Park, located in the Rajanna Sircilla district on Friday.

The inauguration was carried out jointly by Ministers Sridhar Babu, Tummala Nageswara Rao, and Ponnam Prabhakar, with an initial investment of Rs. 102 crores.

Following the inauguration, job appointment letters were distributed to women who secured positions within the company. The facility currently offers employment to 1,600 women, with plans to create an additional 2,000 jobs over the next three years.

Annually, the factory produces over 70 lakh garments and exports products worth Rs. 300 crores to international markets, including the United States and the United Kingdom.

During the event, Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu emphasised that the State government is diligently working towards the comprehensive development of Telangana under the guidance of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

The residents of Siricilla possess a strong social awareness. This region is abundant in enlightenment and consciousness. Numerous prominent figures have embarked on their paths from this very ground," he remarked.

"The Congress party has consistently supported the weavers and remains committed to their welfare. The earlier administrations failed to meet their requirements, providing nothing more than empty assurances. Approximately a year and a half ago, the leadership of this industry reached out to us. We have since addressed the challenges they encountered and promoted the growth of the sector," the Minister said.

"Prior governments did not make any meaningful strides in developing the Vemulawada temple. In contrast, the current Congress administration is genuinely dedicated to its progress and has allocated specific financial resources for its enhancement," stated Sridhar Babu.

on Friday, Mahesh Kumar Goud, accompanied by MP Anil Kumar Yadav and MLCs Addanki Dayakar, Balmoor Venkat Narsig Rao, Aamir Ali Khan, MLA Sri Ganesh, and Fahim Qureshi, the Vice Chairman of Minority Residential Schools, accused the former BRS government, led by then Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, of selling off thousands of acres of land around Hyderabad for their benami persons. He claimed that more than 10,000 acres of land had been sold within the GHMC area.

"Former Minister KT Rama Rao has entered into an agreement with Billy Rao, the owner of IMG company, concerning the HCU lands and reportedly negotiated a bribe amounting to 30 percent. However, KTR is now vocally expressing discontent following the unsuccessful deal," stated Mahesh Kumar Goud.

“The Congress party has a longstanding commitment to safeguarding HCU lands from privatization. These lands are government property, and any government secures loans through institutions. The Congress government secured a loan of Rs. 10,000 crore via the TGIIC and subsequently waived crop loans for farmers,” he revealed.

“It’s quite ironic that the BRS, which has been in power for a decade, is now criticizing the Congress administration while failing to take action to protect government lands. KTR needs to explain why the previous BRS government did not take measures to safeguard the remaining lands, aside from the disputed land at HCU,” questioned Mahesh Kumar Goud.
